Hello EUIPO & new fee structure

euipo_logo.jpgSay 'farewell' to OHIM and 'hello' to EUIPO. OHIM (Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market) is now called the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), and the Community Trade Mark (CTM) has been renamed as the European Union Trade Mark (EU).

As the new European Trade Mark Regulation comes into force, it brings a new approach to the fee structure. Previously, the basic fee for a European Trade Mark would cover up to three classes, however the new fee structure means that fees for both filing and renewals will be based on a class-by-class basis.
